The CMA CGM NOTRE DAME is one of the most advanced container ships in the world and is the largest container ship flying a European flag. Having completed her maiden voyage as recently as May 2026, she is already setting new standards for more environmentally friendly shipping.

Her dual-fuel propulsion significantly reduces both CO₂ emissions and other pollutants. At the same time, the ship is already equipped to run on bio-LNG and synthetic e-methane, positioning her for even more climate-friendly fuels in future.

State-of-the-art technology is used on board: artificial intelligence assists the crew with navigation, route planning and energy optimisation, while a purpose-built wind deflector on the bow reduces air resistance and further lowers fuel consumption.

The CMA CGM NOTRE DAME is the first vessel in a new Megamax series, with which the shipping company CMA CGM is gradually making its fleet more sustainable and efficient.
