The Ever Alot is the first container ship with a slot capacity of over 24,000 TEU. Strictly speaking, 24,004 20-foot standard containers (TEU) can find a place on what is now the world's largest container ship.
With a length of 400 m, a width of 61.5 m and a draught of up to 17 m, the mega-carrier can thus accommodate 12 TEU more than its predecessor, the Ever Ace.
The ship belongs to the so-called A-class of the Taiwanese shipping company Evergreen Marine and sails under the Panama flag.
