Steinwerder Süd – Major Project

Something new is happening in the heart of Hamburgs central harbor: in Steinwerder Süd, an old harbor basin is being filled in, creating an area of 26 hectares, equivalent to 33 football pitches. Over a construction period of five years, large quantities of soil will be moved and several bridges dismantled – an expansion project that is currently one of the largest carried out by the Hamburg Port Authority.
