Hybrid Police Boats

As part of this year's Port Birthday, two hybrid police boats from the Flotte Hamburg were christened at a ceremony at the Landungsbrücken. In the presence of numerous invited guests and visitors to the Port Birthday, Senator for Economic Affairs Dr. Melanie Leonhard and actress Rhea Harder-Vennewald ceremoniously christened the two boats “Bürgermeister Brauer” and “Bürgermeister Weichmann”. Both radio patrol boats were handed over to the Flotte Hamburg in December last year and have been at the disposal of the water police since the spring of this year. They take over from their 30-year-old predecessors and mark another important step towards sustainable shipping in the Port of Hamburg.
