The Tatenberg dyke sluice is being upgraded, setting new standards in flood protection. The upgrade was carried out in close cooperation between the HPA and the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture. It ensures drainage of the Vier- und Marschlande area, combining flood protection with nature conservation. Find out how all this is possible in this episode of "Port is what we do". The Tatenberg dyke sluice fish passage project is funded by the federal government and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg as part of the joint task of improving agricultural structures and coastal protection.
