Tank Storage Germany 2015 closed its doors to record numbers, reaffirming its position as the leading event for the German bulk liquid storage industry. The event, which took place on 25 & 26 November at the Hamburg Messe, boasted a 15 per cent increase in visitors compared to last year and a sizeable 20 per cent increase in exhibitors.

Nick Powell, StocExpo & Tank Storage Portfolio Event Manager comments: “We knew that the 2015 show was going to be a game changer, but it has exceeded all of our expectations. The success we have experienced this year has cemented Tank Storage Germany as the leading industry event solely focusing on the German market. We have huge plans for this show and 2015 was just the start of something really special!

“We were very proud of the educational content on offer this year. Both the conference programme and array of global suppliers made the educational aspect of the show something to remember. We just wanted to extend a thank you to all of you, our exhibitors, visitors and speakers without whom the show could not succeed, and to our show supporters and partners who have been fully behind us since our launch last year.”

“Tank Storage Germany is a well-organised event and an excellent place to find the latest innovations in tank terminal storage equipment," said Jos Couwels, Sales & Marketing Director at The Sniffers, who was excited to attend this year’s event.

With 65 per cent of visitors coming from within Germany, the figures suggest that Tank Storage Germany has found its niche, offering something to the market and region that no one else was previously.

Thomas Demel, Key Account Manager at Outokumpu EMEA GmbH, one of many senior figures who attended the show said: “Tank Storage Germany is a great event for networking and gives a fantastic overall view of the tank storage business."

Exhibitors also found the show to be a huge success, with a phenomenal 63 per cent rebooking stands on site for the 2016 show. Jackie Berry, Global Distributor Manager, Silverwing said: “This year’s Tank Storage Germany was as always very well organised. With the high-profile visitors we had and the interesting conversations, we hope that this will help us expand our business. We met with many new prospects from lots of regions, not just Germany and the show also gave us the chance to see our existing customers to have a relaxed catch-up away from the normal day-to-day distractions.

Tank Storage Germany provides an excellent forum for people to come together from both sides of business and discuss the latest equipment and solutions that are available and how these can be used to the best effect in the tank industry.”

Leandra Zouari-Stoll, Project Assistant at IfI Technology GmbH, also experienced a great show, creating numerous strong business leads, stating: “The show was a big success for us as we were able to showcase our new loading station to so many high quality visitors, which was very well received!”

The conference programme played a pivotal role within the show and secured a huge approval rating from the delegates in attendance. The conference featured talks by 18 industry experts including Urs Beckmann, COO, at TanQuid GmbH & Co. KG, Lars Sörensen, Senior Vice President, at HSH Nordbank, Jay Reynolds, Chief Commercial Officer, at Zenith Energy Management and Hans Grossmann, Managing Director, at GOC Engineering.

Conference attendee, Thorsten Muller, Terminal Engineer at Inter Terminals Mannheim GmbH was in the majority stating: “There were some very good and informative presentations, with a great mixture of financial, economic and technical topics covered.”
