Hamburg's metropolitan region at transport logistic 2025 in Munich

28 May 2025 11:15 Entertainment

The variety of products and services offered by companies from the Hamburg metropolitan region is impressive. From hauliers and freight forwarders to logistics companies specialising in warehousing and packaging, from consulting and software firms to logistics property developers and shipping companies — they are all here.. What they have in common is their expertise in logistics and their proximity to the Port of Hamburg. They will all be represented at the joint "Gateway Hamburg" stand, organised by Port of Hamburg Marketing and the Hamburg Logistics Initiative, from 2 to 5 June 2025 in Munich.

A good example of close cooperation between the partner ports is the participation of Brunsbüttel Ports at the "Gateway Hamburg" stand. Its numerous locations in the port and logistics network in northern Germany and Sweden are both freight hubs and energy hubs. The Port of Brunsbüttel on the Elbe, in particular, is positioning itself as a hub for the import and export of various energy sources and gases, with carbon dioxide expected to play an increasingly important role in the future. This development will further enhance the port’s national significance. The colleagues at the stand will provide deeper insights.

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) and its subsidiaries also have a significant share in the joint stand. It will be presenting itself under the motto "Experience #ThePowerofNetworks" at the "Gateway Hamburg" stand – with forward-looking solutions for resilient, efficient and sustainable logistics. The daily HHLA Talks offer exclusive insights into topics such as the use of artificial intelligence, the challenges of cross-border rail freight transport, alternative energy sources in the port and one of the container industry's largest brownfield projects. On Tuesday, an elevator pitch on smart logistics solutions will take place in the HHLA area. . The programme includes experts from HHLA, METRANS, HHLA Next, HPC and other partner companies. The full HHLA Talks programme is available on the HHLA website under "Experience #ThePowerofNetworks."

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Hamburg Port Authority's plans for the future of the Port of Hamburg is also in the right place at the joint stand. Visitors can learn about the progress of shore power facility construction and expansion at the Port of Hamburg’s terminals. The experts will also explain the current status of the new Steinwerder Süd harbour area and much more.

This is just a small selection of the exhibitors at the "Gateway Hamburg" stand in Hall B3, Stand 209/310.
