06 Jul 2021 13:37 Personnel matters

In February, the HPA Supervisory Board confirmed the choice of Friedrich Stuhrmann as its Joint CEO. The decision had been preceded by a careful and concentrated and selection process by an Appointments Committee headed by Senator Michael Westhagemann. In recent years, Mr Stuhrmann has gathered management experience in various senior posts with the EUROGATE Group in Bremerhaven. He is currently CEO of MSC Gate Bremerhaven. He joined HPA on 1 July 2021. Senator Michael Westhagemann commented: “With Friedrich Stuhrmann, we have succeeded in gaining a port manager for the HPA to contribute both extensive market experience and fresh ideas for the Port of Hamburg. Along with Jens Meier, he will form the Executive Board. The HPA is accordingly very well positioned to face a great variety of challenges.”

Michael Blach, President of EUROGATE Group Management: “Friedrich Stuhrmann worked for Eurogate Group for more than ten years. During this time, in various functions he invariably did excellent work. It is therefore hard for us to let him leave, but we naturally wish him just as much success and all the very best in his new assignment. Fortunately, we shall not be losing sight of Friedrich Stuhrmann, but look forward to further cooperation between the HPA and EUROGATE in the Port of Hamburg.”
