But did you know that the Port of Hamburg is one of the largest inland ports in Germany and the largest in the Elbe region? Every day, cargo bound for the German and European hinterland leaves Hamburg on the Elbe and its connected canals!

The city of Hamburg supports inland waterway transport with this image film: Hamburg's First Mayor, Dr Peter Tschentscher, premiered the clip last week at the Elbschifffahrtstag (Elbe Shipping Day) for an audience of 100 experts from business, politics and administration.
