The site on Müggenburger Straße, Hamburg Veddel, has a direct connection to the Müggenburg canal. Heavy cargo and special equipment can also be transported by inland vessel or barge. "Our in-house scheduling department keeps everything running smoothly – so punctual time delivery to the terminals is never a matter of luck”, says Christian Tigges, Site Manager in Veddel.

The new site on the Blohm + Voss complex is special for the company as well. With more than 12,000 square metres of hall space and modern equipment such as reach stackers (up to 45 tonnes) and SPMTs (up to 300 tonnes), the company will raise the bar here at the Port of Hamburg. Cranes with a maximum load capacity of up to 240 tonnes are also available. Taken together, the site is therefore ideally equipped for complex logistics and packaging tasks.

Its astonishing capabilities were demonstrated just recently in the packaging and transport of a wine bottling plant destined for Namibia. The packaged goods measured 15.1 x 5.2 x 3.55 metres, with a gross weight of around 75 tonnes. The entire process, from delivery to quayside loading, took just seven days.

At the same time, AXXUM is an attractive partner thanks to its quayside throughput crane facilities for up to 150 tonnes and a direct connection to the Port of Hamburg. The new location also fulfils stringent safety standards. This expansion brings a strategic advantage to customers.
