As part of the strategic alignment and developing sector specialization of Fr. Meyer’s Sohn, Ralf Behrens will assume the role of “Global Head of Agricultural Logistics” as of February 1, 2018.

Ralf Behrens has worked for the global shipping company since 1991 and, as “Regional CEO Asia,” most recently developed our Asian network and successfully generated new business. In the previous year alone, for example, 100,000 TEUs were transported by Fr. Meyer’s Sohn in the Asia region. In his new position, Ralf Behrens will oversee the company’s more than 50 international subsidiaries and their customers in the field of agricultural products and food (raw materials, finished goods, and beverage logistics), and will continue to develop this sector at Fr. Meyer’s Sohn.

The position of “Regional CEO Asia” will be taken on by Christian Nebel. He most recently worked as “Managing Director” for Geodis Germany and, prior to this, worked in management roles at various leading logistics providers for the Asia region. Christian Nebel will assume responsibility for Fr. Meyer’s Sohn’s 16 current Asian subsidiaries in China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam from Hong Kong, and will continue to develop the Asian markets for the company.
