From 8 to 10 May, Hamburg celebrates the 837th HAMBURG PORT ANNIVERSARY. When the Hanseatic city celebrates its harbour, the River Elbe becomes a stage and the waterfront transforms into a colourful maritime festival mile. Whether majestic cruise ships, lovingly restored museum vessels, splendid tall ships, or maritime service craft – during the parades, numerous ships present themselves at their very best. Some of them even “dance” in the world-famous and unique tugboat ballet! Visitors of all ages were able to immerse themselves in the fascination of the maritime world over three days and step aboard a wide variety of vessels.
