About the event

Due to its hub function, the Port of Hamburg is a fixed port of call for many large ships from around the world. As the easternmost port in the North Sea, stakeholders in Hamburg are very interested in developing connections with ports and countries in the Baltic Sea Region. Around 88 million tons of containerised cargo were handled in Germany’s biggest seaport in 2021, of which a large part was coming from or going to Baltic ports.

What is the potential of the Baltic Sea Region and its ports from a maritime transport perspective? What are the main challenges, especially when it comes to environmental issues? How have the EU sanctions against Russia affected the container shipping industry?

These and other exciting questions will be discussed live with our international high-level experts.
