Trade relations between the Port of Hamburg and the Baltic Sea ports have a long tradition. As Germany's largest seaport, the Port of Hamburg holds significant economic ties to the Baltic Sea region and Lithuania. The Lithuanian port of Klaipėda is not only closely linked to the Port of Hamburg by regular liner services, but the numerous companies based in Hamburg have also maintained good relations with Lithuanian partners for many years. The longstanding success of the DFDS ferry service between Klaipėda and Kiel, which has been running for more than three decades, serves as a testament to these strong connections. In addition, the ports of Hamburg, Kiel and Klaipėda face similar challenges due to new environmental regulations and current political and economic developments.
This event aims to bring together decision-makers from both countries’ maritime and logistics industries to share insights on the latest industry developments and foster deeper relationships. The subsequent evening reception will provide an opportunity to strengthen the German-Lithuanian business network and facilitate meaningful exchanges among attendees.
