The Baltic Sea Region and the Baltic States hold significant economic importance for the Port of Hamburg and the Port of Lübeck. Estonia's transport and logistics sector as well as its foreign trade not only benefit our ports but also offer substantial potential for even closer dialogue and future cooperation. Furthermore, German and Estonian ports face similar challenges regarding new environmental regulations and the current political and economic developments.

Not surprisingly, Estonia is widely regarded as a benchmark for Germany in terms of digitalisation and the adoption of innovative solutions, particularly in the maritime sector. Reflecting this, we are planning the „Estobian-German Port Forum“ in Tallinn on 24 April 2025.
