Organized by the Logistics Initiative Hamburg and Port of Hamburg Marketing, the Rail Expert Group represents the main rail companies in seaport-hinterland transport in the German ports, particularly in combined transport. Together, this platform represents around 90% of the goods transported. The "Rail Conference on Rail Cargo Transport and Seaports", which was established by this expert group, is a key industry event that has been held alternately in Hamburg and Bremen since 2017.
