Digital Ship will be hosting two highly focussed briefing sessions at Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH on 8 September, during the week of SMM. The events will take place in Osaka room on level 2. The morning Industry Connectivity Briefing, which is hosted by Intelsat, will look at how Innovation & Evolution in Maritime Connectivity is changing the landscape by improving operational agility, creating enhanced efficiency and above all reducing costs for the ship owner and manager. The session will start at 10.00, following registration and a light breakfast, and conclude at 13.00. The afternoon Cyber Challenge: Maritime Risk & Safety Forum will look at how the industry is reacting to the advent of increased cyber threats borne out of the growing use of cloud and IoT applications, the number of devices used, and larger ships but fewer crew - meaning even more reliance on automation and remote monitoring. The session will start at 14.00, following registration and a light lunch, and finish at 17.30, followed by a drinks reception until 19.00. If you are involved directly in working for a ship operator (owner, manager, or builder) you are invited to attend this Digital Ship event free of charge.
