Important port contacts

The Port of Hamburg is a network of independent players who work together to ensure the success of this important business location. Here you will find an overview of the most important contacts who can help you with questions, projects or planning your logistics chain.

Landlord Port

The majority of the port area belongs to the City of Hamburg and is managed by the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) - a concept known as “Landlord Port”. The HPA is responsible for the port infrastructure, including quays, roads, bridges and dredging the shipping channels. The local companies are responsible for the so-called superstructure, such as buildings and cranes.

Numerous players work hand in hand here to efficiently organize the handling of goods, customs clearance and maritime traffic. Whether freight forwarders, liner agents or shipping companies - in the port industry directory you will find all the companies involved in the transportation of your goods.

Hafen Hamburg Marketing

As an association under private law, Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V. (HHM) is responsible for location marketing for the Port of Hamburg as well as for partners and ports along the transport chain. At the same time, HHM supports the association's member companies. Within Hamburg, the association always acts in a company- and competition-neutral manner. HHM and its representative offices are available worldwide as the first point of contact for all questions relating to the Port of Hamburg.
