“Ever Ace“
With a capacity of almost 24,000 TEU, the Megamax container ship “Ever Ace“ is currently one of the world' s biggest container ships. With 24 rows of side-by-side containers, it measures 61.5 metres in width. The ship was built by Samsung Heavy Industries in Koje Island in South Korea. The main engine is a two-stroke Wärtsila engine with 11 cylinders. With its 70950 kilowatts, the ship accelerates to a cruising speed of 22.6 knots.
