Company presentation fromMETRANS group is full-service logistics provider, offering all-in just-in-time intermodal rail-road services since 1992, operating at present weekly about 100 own shuttle trains and feeder trains with cargo in maritime containers to / from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary connecting this territory by rail with major European ports such as HAMBURG and BREMERHAVEN, or southbound rail connection to KOPER, Trieste, Rijeka. METRANS has network of own container terminals and depots, including railway hub PRAGUE Uhřineves (CZ), the largest and the most sophisticated container terminal in Central Europe, ZLIN and PLZEN (both CZ) and DUNAJSKA STREDA – new large up-to-date terminal on Slovak/Hungarian border and KOSICE (both SK). METRANS’ customers are forwaders and shipping lines or shipping line agens who appreciate high level of service quality incl. customs clearance, flexible logistics solutions and METRANS’ adaptability in terms of rapidly changing volumes and requirements. Containers are fully controlled by sophisticated METRANS own IT system incl. train, trucks and terminal management and automatic data exchange with customers. Units are very carefully handled by METRANS skilled staff from the port up to consignee premises or vice versa. METRANS has 1.060 own anti-theft rail cars (and licence for rail car repairs) and sufficient capacity of trucks and chassis (long-term subcontractors). As far as depot service concerned METRANS is the main depot service provider in Central Europe, having daily volumes of about 10.000-12.000 empty TEUs on all five terminals.
