Klaipėda Port is a multifunctional port, suitable for all kinds of cargo. With 33 terminals, the port can handle containers, ro-ro, dry bulk, liquid bulk, general, and project cargoes. It is the second-largest container hub in the Baltic Sea. In 2022, the port handled 1,048 million TEU.

There are ocean-going container lines to the US, India and Pakistan, Asia, as well as all the major European container ports. The Port of Klaipėda is surrounded by the city and nature reserve, therefore greening initiatives are of a great importance. According to our Green Port Programme, the port invests to the greening projects like hydrogen production, alternative fuel hub, hybrid and electric port's fleet, OPS stations, and pollution monitoring programme.

Klaipėda Port will become an offshore wind installation and O&M hub. The installation terminal is planned to be built in the end of 2025 and will support the installation of the two Lithuanian offshore wind farms. The largest expansion project is the Southern Port – a new 100 hectares terminal scheduled to be built in 2028. The new terminal will have a capacity of an additional 30 million tonnes or 2,5 million TEU.
