The Osse family has been active in trading, storage and logistics for four generations. Peter Osse commenced trading in fruit and shipping it from the Altes Land area back in 1879. What are known as the “50s sheds” in the heart of the Freeport offer 20,000 m2 of storage space for goods of all kinds. Whereas in earlier days sacks were lugged around on broad shoulders, today in modern refrigerated warehouses (3,000 m2) at temperatures between +0°C and +20°C, the work processes are dictated by ground conveyors, packing machines and computers. The central location in the port guarantees short distances from/to the ships as well as rapid access to the A1 and A7 autobahns. Since 2009 a branch warehouse at Hamburg- Billbrook has increased storage capacities by 10,000 m2.Here again, modern infrastructure for loading and discharge, storage, etc. is available. Osse sees itself as a broadly based service provider in the distribution chain. Osse has always stored and packed, not just goods in the non-food category, but also foodstuffs. For this the company holds the necessary BIO and IFS certifications. Overview of services: 30,000 m2 storage space, incl. refrigerated warehouse from 0°C to +20°C.
