The “bow” of this ship-like futuristic office building juts out freely 40 meters over the river Elbe. An observation deck is located on its roof and can be reached via a public outdoor staircase. After climbing the 140 steps, visitors are rewarded with a stunning view of Elbe and harbor.
The name Dockland was chosen based on dock areas in London which have been remodeled to offer space for living and working. It was designed by the Hamburg-based architects Bothe, Richter, Teherani.
