CGH Cruise Gate Hamburg GmbH, Cruise Center Baakenhöft

The Cruise Center Baakenhöft is located in the eastern part of HafenCity on Kirchenpauerkai. It serves as an interim terminal for the HafenCity Terminal currently under construction, which is being integrated into a new shopping and hotel complex in the southern Überseequartier. Until the opening of this new terminal in 2023 - and for a total of ten years hereafter - Baakenhöft will be used as an alternative and additional berth for small and medium-sized cruise ships in the HafenCity.

The Cruise Center consists of a terminal building as well as a quay operating area and traffic areas. The building, which is designed as a steel construction hall, has one floor with approx. 1,000 m² of floor space. In the traffic areas outside the building there is a drop-off zone for taxis and individual cars as well as areas for handling shuttle and tour buses.
