New „Port of Hamburg Liner Services 2010/2011“
Just in time for the start of the Port of Hamburg’s trade fair appearances in 2010, Port of Hamburg Marketing (HHM) has issued an up-to-date overview of liner services from the Port of Hamburg. Whether you are interested in seagoing vessels, feeder services, inland waterway connections or rail links – Port of Hamburg Liner Services 2010/2011 gives a complete listing over 218 pages of regular seagoing services from Hamburg, with something like 920 destinations in 177 countries. The wide range of services available makes it possible for freight forwarders and port customers coming from industry and commerce to direct their goods shipments from Hamburg to practically any destination in the world.
With its manageable layout, broken down by trading area, the new reference work is easy to find your way around. For each destination port there is a listing giving details of the local shipping companies and agencies, as well as describing the frequency of departures, the goods handling terminals and the types of cargo. The range of goods covered extends from full and collecting containers to conventional breakbulk shipments, from project consignments and heavy loads to RoRo goods. Port of Hamburg Liner Services also gives departure listings for Hamburg’s sister ports of Cuxhaven, Kiel and Lübeck. All the data has been prepared by Port of Hamburg Marketing, in conjunction with Hamburg’s ship brokers, shipping companies and agents and the goods handling companies. The departures database can also be accessed online at the port’s website www.hafen-hamburg.de under the heading ‘Liner Services’. Companies that are members of Port of Hamburg Marketing can obtain the new catalogue of regular services free of charge.
The book can be ordered for € 24.95 from DVV Media Group (just send an e-mail to buch@dvvmedia.com or telephone +49 40 23714 250) or alternatively from the port’s online shop at www.dvz.de. If you order the new port handbook (‘Port of Hamburg Handbook 2010’) at the same time, the two publications are available at a package price of € 34.00.
