Medical Care

The Hamburg Port Health Center (GL) provides counselling and care for sailors with health problems.

Along with health protection, it also takes care of documentation in regard to ship hygiene.

Walk-in office hours are Monday to Friday from 9.00 AM to 2 PM at the sailors’ outpatient clinic (address: Seewartenstrasse 10). If necessary, the doctors also come on board.

Free and confidential medical examinations are also offered by the seamen’s club “Duckdalben” every Monday from 5 to 8 PM.

The port pharmacy provides a special service: along with deliveries to ships, they also provide first aid in case of accidents with dangerous cargo (MFAG) and stock and check ships’ dispensaries.
