Feedstuffs, grain, oil seeds, and vegetable oils are handled at the ADM Hamburg Aktiengesellschaft - Silo Hamburg terminal. The facility is one of the highest capacity cargo-handling elevators in Germany.

One reason is that it has a pneumatic conveyor with a capacity of 1200 tons per hour. Ships up to 280 metres long and with a payload of up to 90,000 metric tons can be discharged around the clock, if necessary.
