Sea cargo handling at the Port of Hamburg increases again with a total of 28.6 million tons for the first quarter of 2010, representing 4.6 per cent growth.

Cargo handling in March 2010 tops the 10-million ton mark for the first time since November 2008 and reaches 10.5 million tons (up by 10.7 per cent).

Brazil ranks as the Port of Hamburg's third most important sea freight trading partner

São Paulo once again played host to the Brazilian and international transport sector from 6 - 8 April 2010, with around 45,000 trade fair visitors emphasising both the significance and scope of INTERMODAL SOUTH AMERICA. Amongst the approximately 490 exhibitors, Port of Hamburg Marketing (HHM) was also represented with a 40-square-meter joint booth.
