POLZUG Intermodal GmbH

POLZUG Intermodal GmbH is a joint venture of the Hamburger Hafen und Logistik (HHLA) Intermodal GmbH, of Polish state cargo railways PKP Cargo S. A. and of DB Mobility Logistics AG, all of which hold equal shares in the company. Since 1991 POLZUG operates regular scheduled container block trains between the North European container ports Hamburg, Bremerhaven and Rotterdam and the ports’ hinterland in Poland and Eastern Europe.

With the emerging of the CIS markets, POLZUG turned further East and extended their service area beyond Poland to Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, the Caucasus and Central Asia. Today, the POLZUG network includes offices, subsidiaries and representatives in Germany, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan, with partners in Mongolia and Afghanistan. Overseas representative offices in South Korea, Brazil and USA recognise trends in source markets at an early stage and help us to develop our services in line with customers’ needs.

In their key market Poland, POLZUG’s Polish arm, POLZUG Intermodal Polska Sp. z o. o. operates four own State-of-the-art terminals in the main economic centres. Pruszkow (Warsaw), Wroclaw, Dabrowa Gornicza (Katowice) and the new Hub terminal in Poznan.

EDI software applications as well as a certified quality and environmental management system guarantee reliable transport services, meeting highest standards.
